Michael Smith

Founder / Operations and Customer Experience

Michael is the Co-Founder of Smith & Smith Global and oversees customer experience and service across all SSG brands. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 24 years of service. Michael brings accountability and steady judgment under pressure that he built on the job as a United States Rescue Swimmer. After his military career, he worked for Sikorsky Helicopters as a technical trainer and supervisor, a role that required both domain understanding and the ability to explain complex systems clearly and effectively. He later worked for Audi Motorcars, where he became one of the top-ranked Service Advisors in the United States.

Taken together, his role diversity gave him a strong grasp of both sides of the customer experience: the operational side, where detail and follow-through matter, and the human side, where competence earns long-term trust. That combination made him the most equipped person to lead customer experience and service across SSG’s expanding brands.
